At this appointment your consultant will carry out a full antenatal check including blood pressure, urine check and assessing the health of your baby with an ultrasound scan. The baby’s growth will be plotted on your babies customised growth chart to ensure that your baby is growing appropriately. You will be offered more blood screening tests, to check for anaemia, atypical red-cell alloantibodies, toxoplasmosis and thyroid levels if necessary. You will be offered anti-D injection, if your blood group is Rhesus Negative. A Glucose Tolerance test will be given if applicable. From this point onwards in your pregnancy, you will require a letter if you are flying.
