This section is the final part of 5 which make up a basic postnatal bundle – 1) Looking after Mum; 2) Looking after your baby; 3) Feeding; 4) Practicalities and 5) Unwell baby. All the information comes either from the Essential Parent library – that is, advised by UNICEF UK BFI and others – or from the Barts Health, NHS Trust postnatal leaflet “Going home – our guide to postnatal care at home”. This section contains a quick checklist of symptoms for when to seek urgent medical attention, an overview of getting to know your baby, advice on jaundice, baby fever and taking temperatures, baby diarrhoea & vomiting, sepsis and meningitis, coughs and colds and hepatitis B.
